Successful completion of the Long Term Care Fitness Leader, Certificate of Completion program requires achieving an 80 percent score on both of the open book, multiple choice tests included with your study materials. You will also earn a Certificate of Completion document from the American Senior Fitness Association. Although a Certificate of Completion is not equal to professional certification, it is a respected credential that will serve as an entry level qualification and as an excellent compliment to an existing set of fitness credentials. You will earn an internationally recognized professional credential as an American Senior Fitness Association certified, Long Term Care Fitness Leader. Your SFA certification is valid for two years and can be renewed by earning 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) of approved continuing education and maintaining valid CPR and Basic 1st Aid certification. A $35.00 renewal fee applies. NOTE: professional certification program participants can also complete the Part One and Part Two open book tests to earn up to 24 hours (2.4 CEUs) continuing education credits accepted by most fitness organizations.
