The Movinglife ATTO remains one of the cleverest folding mobility scooter designs on the market.
Instead of simply folding the seat onto the chassis, the ATTO transforms into a compact suitcase-like package that can be rolled in trolley mode. It can also be separated into two smaller sections when lifting it into a vehicle. Movinglife lists the heaviest section at roughly 37.5 pounds on the current ATTO Classic. That is important because the ATTO’s total assembled weight does not look particularly impressive alongside 30–40-pound lightweight scooters. Its advantage is that you do not necessarily have to lift the entire scooter at once.
The standard ATTO supports users up to 265 pounds, reaches approximately 4 mph, and provides around 12–12.5 miles of range. The Amazon model we received folds to approximately 15.3 x 16.5 x 28 inches, making it exceptionally compact for storage in cars, hotel rooms and other confined travel spaces.
What we liked
The engineering is what justifies the ATTO’s premium positioning with some pretty fancy design features. The ability to fold the scooter into a compact trolley, wheel it like luggage and then split it into two lighter pieces makes it genuinely adaptable for travel. Movinglife specifically identifies the ATTO’s split mode as a way of reducing the lifting weight to around 37.5 pounds for the heaviest section.
We also like that the seat and tiller are adjustable, which helps compensate for the compact design when the scooter is unfolded.
What could be better
The first issue is price. You are paying a significant premium for the folding architecture and Movinglife engineering.
The second is seat comfort. We found that the seat was relatively thin and low-backed in order for the scooter to fold so compactly. Riders needing substantial cushioning or full back support may prefer a scooter such as the SNAPnGO Deluxe.
