Why did it make our list?
- The Drive Medical Spitfire Scout’s lightweight design makes it an attractive scooter for older adults or people with limited dexterity. We also liked the padded Delta tiller that enhances maneuverability. Disassembling this machine is also a breeze. Plus, it folds down easily to make storage easier. Also, this scooter comes with a large basket that provides great space for shopping. Finally, it features anti-tip wheels that make it ideal for most terrains.
What is not ideal about it?
- During our testing process, we had a few concerns about the Drive Medical Spitfire Scout. First of all, we didn’t like the location of the charging port. It seems so low that someone with a disability or an elderly person would have trouble accessing it. In our opinion, the location could be more accessible for easier use. Also, we found out that this scooter doesn’t feature a headlight for night use.
