The NOVA Transport Chair is one of the best transport chairs on the market. It’s lightweight and simple to maneuver, and folds easily and compactly for storage or travel. The locking hand brakes provide extra security, and the 12″ rugged rear wheels make it easy to navigate over rough terrain. The seat belt is adjustable up to 41″, and the small storage pouch is great for keys and a cell phone. The flip-up and removable padded desk arms make it easy to get in and out of the chair, and the anti-tippers add an extra level of safety. This is an excellent transport chair that will provide years of reliable service.
The NOVA is also a decent manual wheelchair. It stacks up well against the other manual options on the list with incredible features and a portable build. Its hand brakes make it a safer option than most wheelchairs. However, it does not offer great comfort for prolonged sitting like the Karman Healthcare S-2512 Ergo Flight Ergonomic Wheelchair.
