The Jazzy EVO 613 Li is the better Pride electric wheelchair recommendation for users who spend most of their time indoors but still want serious outdoor capability.
Its 22-inch-wide base and mid-wheel drive system allow the chair to rotate tightly around its central drive wheels, making it much easier to negotiate doorways, corridors and furniture than a long rear-wheel-drive folding chair.
At the same time, the EVO 613 Li offers up to 5.1 mph, 3 inches of ground clearance and Active-Trac suspension, so it is considerably more capable outdoors than the old Sport 2 section suggested.
Pride currently specifies a 300-pound capacity, 22-inch base, up to 5.1 mph maximum speed and up to 21 miles of lithium-ion range under its lighter test load. The current EVO 613 Li is also listed on Amazon.
What we liked
Mid-wheel drive is difficult to beat for indoor maneuverability. The 22-inch base is particularly useful in homes where hallway, doorway and furniture clearance matters more than minimum transport weight.
What could be better
This is a full-sized power chair rather than a folding travel chair. Transport generally requires an appropriate vehicle or mobility lift, and the price is substantially higher than generic folding wheelchairs.
