The next model that we have tested and consider one of the best trays for a bariatric walker is the Sammons Preston. This wide tray features a unique design with raised edges in such a shape that you can put two cups, a plate, fork, knife, and spoon. It also has an additional recess for placing items of oblong shape in it. The Sammons Preston also comes with two metal clips that are used to attach the unit to your walker and two screws for more security.

This is the 46352 model, but it is usually compared to its sister model, the 56856. The latter is designed only for standard walkers, while the 46352 on our list is ideal for many bariatric walkers. Asides from this, the two trays are very similar in design. When fitted with a bariatric walker, the user can function independently and easily attach it to the walker.

What are its best features?

  • The walker tray is compatible with most bariatric walkers
  • The sturdy design of the tray makes it an excellent choice for seniors who would like to carry heavier daily living aids
  • The walker tray is more than wide enough to accommodate large food items
  • The non-stick liner makes the tray very convenient for placing various things on it and ensures easy cleaning

What could be improved?

  • The installation can be challenging for some seniors as the walker tray comes with no instructions
  • The tray may be a bit overpriced for the overall quality
